The latest smartphone from Huawei, the Huawei P50 Pro, was officially launched in Indonesia. The presence of this P-series flagship smartphone was announced through a launch event which was held on Friday (11/2/2022)
In Indonesia, the Huawei P50 series is only filled by the highest model, namely the Huawei P50 Pro. This looks different from what Huawei does in its home country. In addition to the Huawei P50 Pro, Huawei has also launched the “regular” Huawei P50 in China.
Overall, the Huawei P50 Pro brings a major overhaul in terms of its design, especially in the camera module which is located on the back of the phone.
The back of this smartphone is dominated by two circular camera modules, which fit four Huawei P50 Pro rear cameras.
The four cameras on this smartphone were re-designed by Leica, a German camera manufacturer. The camera circuit is embedded in two matrices.
In the first matrix, there is a camera 50 MP (f/1.8, OIS), 40 MP mono camera (f/1.6) and 13 MP ultra-wide camera (f/2.2).
Then in the second matrix, there is a 64 MP telephoto camera (f/3.5, OIS) which has a zoom range of up to 200x. Not to forget, Huawei also includes a 13 MP (f/2.4) selfie camera.
The front camera is placed on an OLED screen that has a 6.6-inch FHD Plus (2,700 x 1,228 pixels) screen with a refresh rate of 120 Hz and a touch sampling rate of 300 Hz.
Behind the chassis, Huawei is arming the Huawei P50 Pro with a Snapdragon 888 chip (4G), 8 GB of RAM, and 256 GB of storage.
The software aspect of the Huawei P50 Pro includes the EMUI 12 operating system. Because it is not integrated with Google services, this smartphone relies on a special ecosystem called Huawei Mobile Services (HMS).
Huawei P50 Pro is supported by a 4,360 mAh battery supported by fast charging 66 Watt (wired) and 50 Watt (wireless).
Other specifications of this smartphone include fingerprint, Bluetooth 5.2, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax, as well as USB type C and already pocketed anti-dust and water certification with an IP68 rating.
The price of the Huawei P50 Pro (8 GB / 128 GB) in Indonesia is priced at Rp. 15 million. This phone can be ordered (pre-ordered) offline and online through Huawei’s official stores and partner marketplaces from 11-25 February 2022.
